The Westlake Ladies section is a lively and active group of members. The official Ladies competitions are played on Tuesday afternoons, where times are reserved from 12pm onwards. There are various other groups of lady members who play regularly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings.

Our Ladies compete in the Women’s Golf Western Province leagues, which run from January to October each year.

The affairs of the Ladies section are managed by an elected Ladies committee. The success of this section owes a great deal to the contribution of each and every lady member and also the generous sponsorships received.

The Ladies Section runs regular Mixed Open events on Sunday afternoons which are very popular and well supported by the Western Province golfing community.

Westlake Golf Club always welcomes new Lady members. In addition the Ladies Section offers an introductory programme for any beginners wishing to learn the game of golf.

Seniors (W.A.G.S)

At Westlake we have a fantastic and active group of senior members.  The WAGS (Westlake Aged Golfers Society) is a recognised section within Westlake Golf Club and their competition takes place on a Tuesday morning.

The WAGS are an autonomous section of the Club and organise their own tournaments and competitions.  The WAGS affairs are managed by three members elected from within their ranks.  The elected officials are:

Ian Price – Spokesperson
Mike Manson-Smith – Tournaments
George Poulsom – Treasurer

To participate in a WAGS Golf day you need to be a member of Westlake Golf Club and be 55 years or older. However, guests are always welcome and are accommodated in the field by prior arrangement and permission from the elected officialsPlease contact one of the WAGS officials to find out how to get a game. Special rates are available for seniors wishing to join this section of the club and we have a special programme to welcome relocating golfers from other Provinces. Come and make new friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
