COURSE CARE

TURF GROWTH AND RECOVERY IS WORSE DURING WINTER. WE ASK ALL GOLFERS TO BE MORE VIGILENT AND CARING IN THE REPAIR OF PITCHMARKS, DIVOTS AND BUNKERS EPECIALLY DURING WINTER.

TO USE A DIVOT REPAIR TOOL THE CORRECT WAY:

  • Place it in the ground just outside the ball mark itself.
  • Push down and forward to push the ground closer together.
  • Then move the tool to either side to close the divot.
  • Finish it off by tapping lightly on the ball mark to level it out with your Putter.

TO REPAIR A DIVOT CORRECTLY:

  • Please do not replace the grass divot as it will not have a chance to survive.
  • Please ensure that you throw sand in the divot
  • After placing sanding in the divot ensure that you level it off with you foot as this make the recovery process much quicker

ENTERING AND LEAVING BUNKERS

  • Please ensure that you you enter and leave the bunkers from the LOWEST possible side
  • This is to ensure that the face and lips of the bunkers are not damaged and are in good condition for the players behind you
  • Please also ensure that if you are in the face of the bunker that you rake the sand downwards as this helps to prevent further balls from plugging in the lips
