How to get to Westlake
To out of town visitors, we suggest you hire a car or make use of Uber to get to Westlake Golf Club. We are situated at the foot of the Muizenberg Mountains and visible from the end of the M3 freeway. Access to the Golf Club is via Westlake Avenue. At the end of the M3 you turn right into Steenberg Road and continue around the golf course, taking the next turning left into Westlake Drive which leads into Westlake Avenue. After your round we will gladly phone to organise your collection if required. It is advisable that you pre-arrange your transport to ensure that you arrive timeously for your tee off. Please note that the M3 freeway is a busy road on weekdays and in the Claremont areas you may be subject to traffic congestion.

Golf Bookings
We encourage visitors to make bookings in advance before arriving in South Africa. Alternatively, on arrival, contact us on 0217882020 or visit us in person and we will be able to advise on booking availability. The office will assist you with all your booking enquiries.
Golf Carts / Club Hire
Golf Carts and Rental sets can be hired at the Pro Shop on 0217882020. There are 23 Golf Carts available so please make sure you book in advance, especially if you are playing in a golf day. We cater for various levels of golfers when it comes to hiring golf sets. Speak to the Pro Shop manager to get the right set for you

Kindly refrain from using cell phones on the Golf Course.
Dress Code
Golf Course
Westlake is a soft-spike course only. The following dress is permitted on the golf course and practice facilities:
Recognised golf shoes or trainers with the consent of the professional, recognised golf shirt, tailored long trousers or golf shorts with a belt and sport socks. Ladies’ golf tops must have a collar or a round neck and need to reach the top of the trousers / shorts / skirt worn.
The following attire is not permitted on the golf course or practice facilities:
Jeans, t-shirts, footwear without socks, slip-slops, sandals and crocs, drawstring type shots, tracksuits and beachwear.
Members Bar & Upstairs Lounge area
Ladies and gentlemen shall comply with smart casual standards of dress at all times.
The dress regulations for the golf course apply with the following additional conditions:
Neat, smart jeans may be worn. T-shirts may be worn by ladies only. Tailored shorts with appropriate closed shoes are permitted. Golf shoes are strictly prohibited at all times.
Downstairs Bar / Lounge area

Neat, smart jeans may be worn. T-shirts may be worn by ladies only. Deck shoes may be worn with tailored shorts without socks. Open shoes, slip slops and sandals are permitted at all times.
Please Take Note:
Strict regimentation of dress is generally unacceptable today, and it is consequently undesirable to prescribe specific dress code for the club. However, when attire is casual, members and guests are required to be neat and presentable at all times. Extremes in casual dress cannot be condoned. The welfare of members and guests, and their enjoyment of the facilities and ambience of the club, are of paramount importance. The committee and management reserve the right to decide whether dress is acceptable or not. Kindly help us to maintain a high standard of dress so that we can all be proud of our club.
Pace of Play
The accepted time to complete 18 holes of golf at Westlake is 4 hours and 35 minutes. In South Africa we have a compulsory stop after 9 holes to grab a quick bite to eat before going out to complete the second 9. The guidelines for times are as follows:
First 9 holes – 2 hours and 10 minutes
Halfway stop – 15 minutes
Second 9 holes – 2 hours and 10 minutes
